There’s a first time for everything.
I was lucky enough to be asked to
shoot an amazing wedding outside of Punta Cana for the first time: the wedding
of Vera & Christian in Cabrera.
When I first read the email from
the wedding planner, I was so happy about the news!
It is with a lot of excitement
that my team and I started to get ready and prepare for the 300 km drive that
separate us from our destination - Cabrera.
So, when I arrived there and saw
this huge beautiful cliff villa, I got excited about the upcoming big day. I
could already picture it in all its beauty. Villa Cabofino is one of the
most sublime places I have ever seen.
The weather gave everyone a
little fright in the morning as it was raining heavily, but thankfully, by the
beginning of the ceremony, everything was fine.
We started with a first look
between the bride and the groom. He was standing on top of the cliff, his back
turned on us, waiting for her. She came up to him, gently put her hand on his
shoulder and turned him around. He couldn’t believe his eyes (it was such a
touching moment!).
We walked around the villa’s
surroundings to do a photo shoot and I could not believe that I was catching,
perhaps the most thrilling shots of my entire career…
